Short answer: yes, and it is not a rumour. GloriaFood’s own website says so.
What is harder to establish is when, and that turns out to be the interesting part.
What GloriaFood confirms itself
On gloriafood.com, the vendor states, verbatim:
GloriaFood has been discontinued and is no longer accepting new signups. We are fully committed to supporting our existing customers throughout this transition.
That is the whole of what the public site says about it. Checked August 13, 2026.
Two things follow immediately. New signups are closed, so if you arrived here looking for a free ordering system, GloriaFood is not available to you at any price. And existing accounts are still being supported, so nothing you have breaks today.
The April 30, 2027 date, and where it actually comes from
You will find “April 30, 2027” on a great many pages. It is very probably right. But it is worth being precise about its provenance, because we could not verify it the way we verify a competitor’s pricing.
- It is not on gloriafood.com. The homepage confirms the discontinuation and gives no date. The pricing page carries no retirement notice at all.
- We could not find it on oracle.com or docs.oracle.com either.
- Every public page carrying the date is a third party — and virtually all of them are ordering platforms selling GloriaFood migrations, including us. They consistently attribute it to a notice shown inside the GloriaFood admin panel and to emails sent to partners, reported as reading “This offering will be retired on April 30, 2027.”
So the honest position is: corroborated from inside the product, not published outside it.
If you have a GloriaFood login, you do not need to take anyone’s word for it, ours included. Sign in and read your own admin panel. That is the primary source, and it is the one nobody can show you in a search result.
We would rather say this plainly than repeat a date with a confidence nobody has earned. It also explains something that confuses a lot of restaurant owners: why can’t I find an official announcement? You can’t because there isn’t a public one.
What that means for your timeline
Take the date as real — it comes from inside the product, and it has been consistent across every partner report. But plan against the crowd, not the deadline.
The failure mode is not GloriaFood switching off early. It is everyone moving at once. If a large share of a six-figure restaurant base migrates in the final quarter, every ordering platform’s onboarding queue, support desk and migration team is saturated at exactly the moment yours is urgent. Your own move gets slower precisely when you have least room.
Moving early costs nothing. Your GloriaFood page keeps working right up to the cutoff whether or not you have set something else up, so there is no window where you are between systems.
What is genuinely at risk
The thing to understand is that not all of your GloriaFood setup can be exported, even today while the platform is healthy.
Your menu structure can: GloriaFood publishes a Fetch Menu API that returns categories, items, prices, sizes and option groups in one call. Your customers and orders can, as CSV from the admin.
Your dish photos cannot — GloriaFood’s own integration documentation states item photos are not included in the menu payload. And your delivery zones, opening hours, prep times, fees, taxes and payment configuration have no documented export at all. The documented API covers the menu and nothing else.
That is the real deadline. Not “the site goes dark on a date”, but “the settings you have tuned over years exist only inside a product that is winding down”.

What to do about it, in order
- Confirm the date yourself in your own admin panel, so you are working from the primary source.
- Export what GloriaFood lets you, now, while it is up: your Fetch Menu key, your customer and order CSVs, and your dish photos out of the Menu Editor.
- Screenshot every settings page — delivery zones, hours, fees, taxes. These are the ones nothing can import for you.
- Move when it suits you, not when the queue forms.
