Comparisons that say when the other one wins

Every figure on these pages comes from the vendor's own pricing page, with the date we checked it printed on the page. Each one also has a section naming what that platform does better than us — because a comparison that can't concede anything is an advert, and you'd spot it immediately.

Shutting down 2027

GloriaFood alternative →

Oracle retires GloriaFood on 30 April 2027 and there is no export tool. What to move to, and how to get your menu out.

From $249/mo

ChowNow alternative →

Also commission-free, at $249–$449/month plus a setup fee. Buys you marketplace discovery we do not offer.

From $249/mo + 5%

Owner.com alternative →

$249/month plus 5% per order, or $499 flat — and a 5% order support fee paid by your guests on both plans.

From $0, per location

Square Online alternative →

Genuinely cheap for one US location. Priced per location, and not available in the UAE, the Gulf or India.

From $79/mo

Flipdish alternative →

$79–$199/month across three published tiers. Transaction rates are not published — worth asking for in writing.

From $159/mo

Popmenu alternative →

$159–$449/month for a website and AI marketing suite. Online ordering is a paid add-on, not part of that price.

Clover POS only

BentoBox alternative →

No longer sold standalone — its own site says products are available only to Clover POS customers.

Per outlet

LimeTray alternative →

Per-outlet subscription across three plans, so total cost scales with how many outlets you run.

Before you compare anything

Three questions that sort the real ones out

Is the transaction rate published?

For an ordering platform it's usually the bigger number. If it takes a sales call to find out, you can't compare total cost from the website — and that's a choice the vendor made.

Does anyone charge your guest?

Some platforms add a service or support fee at checkout, paid by your customer. It doesn't show up in the monthly price, and your regulars are exactly the people who notice.

Can you export, today?

Menu, customers and order history, on demand — not only on the way out. GloriaFood's shutdown is what happens when the answer turns out to be no.

More on this in our guide to what "commission-free" and "own your data" actually mean.

Or just look at the product.

A real storefront, no signup — browse the menu, build a pizza, place the order.
