FoodAmigos alternative

GloriaFood pointed you at FoodAmigos. Here is how it compares.

If you run a GloriaFood restaurant, the vendor’s own website has put one name in front of you. FoodAmigos is a real option, and on some counts a better one than us. This page sets out what it publishes, where it wins, and what to ask before you move.

What Oracle actually said

A signpost, not a verdict

The Service Update on gloriafood.com reads:

“While Oracle does not offer a direct replacement for GloriaFood products and services, we would like to make you aware of FoodAmigos, a restaurant technology provider that offers online ordering and related solutions.”

Read both halves. Oracle says it has no replacement, and then makes you aware of a provider. It does not say it compared FoodAmigos with anyone or stands behind the result. FoodAmigos may well suit you, but the referral does not settle that, so it is still worth comparing.

What their pricing page says

A published price, on the page built for GloriaFood customers

  • $35 a month per restaurant: the all-in-one plan
  • $25 a month per location: partners with 20 or more locations, with custom quotes above that
  • Optional add-ons on the partner tab: an AI website builder at $29 and a white-label mobile app at $19, each per restaurant per month

Stated alongside: 0% commission, no setup fee, monthly cancellation with no notice period, and the first month free for migrating GloriaFood customers. The page also says “your exact price is confirmed on the migration call”.

One thing to know before you go looking: FoodAmigos’ main pricing page shows no figure, only a demo booking. The numbers above are on the separate GloriaFood pricing page, behind a Partners / Restaurants toggle.

Where FoodAmigos wins

If you want a paid, unbranded plan, they publish a lower price

In US dollars, FoodAmigos is cheaper on paid plans: $35 a month per restaurant against our $49, and $25 per location against our $29 for a reseller with 20 or more. Their first month is free, and they say their team moves your menus, pages and settings for you.

They also list things in the base plan that we do not offer: connections to POS systems including Toast and Clover, AI upselling, dynamic pricing and automated Google review replies. If any of those decides it for you, that is a fair reason to choose them.

Where we fit

A $0 plan with nothing held back

Free means everything

Online ordering, QR ordering at the table, reservations, loyalty, coupons and automated email marketing are all in our free plan, with a small “powered by Ontabee” mark. GloriaFood restaurants pay nothing today; with us that can stay true.

A price set per market

Removing our branding is $49 a month, or ₹499 in India. No commission on any plan, and nothing added to your customer’s bill.

Records you can prove

GloriaFood’s shutdown is what happens when an export turns out to be partial. Ours is on demand, and your accountant can verify it on their own machine, without us.

Before you sign

Four questions to ask FoodAmigos, and us

What will I pay after month one, in my currency?

The published figure is in dollars, and their page says the exact price is confirmed on the migration call. Get that number in writing before you move.

Is the branded app included?

Their pages disagree. The restaurant plan says “no add-on fees” and their main pricing page lists the app as included, while their partner page prices a white-label app at $19 a month. Ask which applies to you.

How do my photos and settings come across?

GloriaFood’s menu export carries your structure and prices, not your dish photos or your delivery, hours, fee and payment settings. Anyone promising those is rebuilding them, so ask who checks the result.

Buying through a reseller?

FoodAmigos charges no commission, but it lets resellers add a per-order fee of their own. If someone else is selling it to you, ask what they add to each order.

Exactly what transfers out of GloriaFood, item by item: what moves and what has to be rebuilt.

Questions

Commonly asked

How much does FoodAmigos cost?

FoodAmigos publishes $35 a month per restaurant for its all-in-one plan, and $25 a month per location for partners with 20 or more, on the pricing page it built for GloriaFood customers. It states 0% commission, no setup fee, monthly cancellation and a free first month for migrating GloriaFood customers, and that "your exact price is confirmed on the migration call". Its main pricing page shows no figure. Checked October 2026.

Does Oracle recommend FoodAmigos?

Not in those words, and the difference matters. The Service Update on gloriafood.com says Oracle "does not offer a direct replacement for GloriaFood products and services" and would "like to make you aware of FoodAmigos". That is a signpost. Oracle has not said it evaluated FoodAmigos against anyone, so the comparing is still yours to do.

Does FoodAmigos charge commission on orders?

No. Its pricing FAQ says it charges 0% commission and you pay one flat monthly price per restaurant. One thing to check: FoodAmigos lets resellers charge their restaurants a monthly fee or "take a cut on every order", so if you are buying through a reseller rather than directly, ask the reseller what it adds per order.

Is Ontabee cheaper than FoodAmigos?

On the free plan, yes: Ontabee costs $0 with every feature included and a small "powered by Ontabee" mark. On paid plans, no, not in US dollars: FoodAmigos publishes $35 a month per restaurant and our Single plan is $49. We set prices per market, and in India Single is ₹499, but FoodAmigos publishes no India price to compare it with.
