Online ordering for UAE restaurants, without the commission

Take orders on your own site, under your own brand, in English and Arabic — at a flat monthly price with no cut of every order. This page is about what that actually costs in the UAE, and about the two or three things worth checking before you pick anyone.

The number that actually matters

Commission is the cost, not the subscription

A marketplace taking a percentage of every order will, for most restaurants doing steady volume, cost many times any monthly subscription. That is the comparison worth running before you look at software at all — and it is the reason "commission-free" is the whole category now.

Ontabee is $0, $49 or $99 a month, flat, in USD. $49 is one location; $99 covers 2–9. No commission on orders, and nothing added to your guest's bill at checkout.

Arabic

Right-to-left, not translated-and-hoped

A real RTL storefront

Arabic is one of ten languages a restaurant can enable. Turning it on flips the document direction, not just the words — the storefront lays out right-to-left rather than rendering Arabic text inside a left-to-right frame.

Emails flip too

Order confirmations and the rest of the transactional email carry the same direction, with the brand lockup mirrored to the correct side. This is the part most platforms miss, and your guest sees it on every order.

Your menu, your words

Item names and descriptions are yours to write per language, so the Arabic menu reads like a menu rather than a machine translation of one.

Worth knowing

Square is not an option here

If you have been comparing platforms from US listicles, one name on those lists cannot be bought in the UAE at all. Square lists availability in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, the UK, Ireland, France and Spain — and nowhere in the Gulf.

That is not a criticism of the product, which is genuinely good value for a single US location. It just is not available to you, and it is worth finding that out now rather than three tabs into a signup.

Where we stop

What Ontabee is not

Not a POS

No tills, no hardware, no card terminals. Ontabee runs standalone alongside whatever you already use. If you want ordering, POS and payments on a single contract, a POS-led suite is the better buy — we compare those honestly.

Not fiscally certified

Ontabee holds no fiscal-software certification or tax-authority approval in any country, and has built no country adapters. What it gives you is a complete, checkable record of your ordering channels. Exactly where that leaves you, country by country.

Payments: let's talk

How payment is set up depends on your restaurant and who you already bank with, and it is a conversation rather than a checkbox. Tell us your setup and we will tell you straight what does and does not work today.

Questions

Commonly asked

How much does an online ordering system cost for a UAE restaurant?

Ontabee is $0, $49 or $99 per month in USD, flat. $49 covers one location and $99 covers 2–9. There is no commission on orders and nothing is added to your guest’s bill, so the monthly figure is the whole software cost.

Does Ontabee support Arabic?

Yes. Arabic is one of ten languages a restaurant can enable, and it is a full right-to-left implementation rather than translated labels in a left-to-right layout — the storefront and the transactional emails both flip direction, with the branding mirrored.

Can I use Square for online ordering in the UAE?

No. Square lists availability in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, the UK, Ireland, France and Spain only. It does not operate in the UAE, the wider Gulf or India. Checked August 2026 against Square’s own plans page.

Is Ontabee a POS?

No. Ontabee is standalone online ordering and works alongside whatever till you already run. If you want ordering and a POS on one contract, a POS-led suite is the better buy and we will say so.

Does Ontabee handle UAE e-invoicing or fiscal compliance?

No. Ontabee holds no fiscal-software certification or tax-authority approval in any country and has built no country-specific adapters. What it gives you is a complete, checkable record of what came through your ordering channels. Our compliance page sets out exactly where that leaves you.
