Flipdish, and what its pricing page doesn't say

Flipdish publishes its monthly tiers, which is more than many competitors do. What it doesn't publish is the transaction rate — and for an ordering platform that's usually the larger number. Here's the comparison with that gap marked rather than filled in with a guess.

Being fair about it

When Flipdish is the better buy

You want kiosks and hardware

Flipdish sells self-service kiosks and the hardware around them, with implementation support to get them in. For a busy quick-service site, a kiosk changes throughput in a way an ordering page cannot. Ontabee does not sell kiosks or hardware — if that's what you're buying, buy it from someone who makes it.

You're a larger multi-site or franchise group

Flipdish is built around bigger estates, with field support and account management to match. If you need somebody to come to your sites, that's a real service and it's reasonable to pay for it. Ontabee is self-serve, with support in business hours unless you're on an enterprise arrangement.

Where we're different

You can price us from the website

Every number is published

$0, $49, $99. No sales call to find out the transaction rate, because there isn't one to find out — payments run through your own gateway at your own negotiated rate.

No implementation project

No hardware to buy, nothing to install, no professional-services line. Most restaurants are taking orders the same day, and if you're coming from GloriaFood we rebuild the menu for you.

Annual billing isn't a lever

The price is the price monthly or annually, so you're not being asked to commit a year up front to reach the advertised number.

Questions

Commonly asked

How much does Flipdish cost?

Flipdish publishes three tiers, from $79/month to $199/month when billed annually, or $99/month to $249/month billed monthly. Transaction rates are not published on the pricing page, and Flipdish states there may be upfront costs for hardware and implementation that vary by requirement. Verified August 2026.

Does Flipdish charge commission or transaction fees?

Flipdish does not publish its transaction rates. Its FAQ says rates are transparent with no hidden fees, but the numbers themselves are not on the pricing page — you get them from sales. That is normal for a suite sold with hardware and implementation, but it does mean you cannot compare total cost from the website alone.

What is a cheaper Flipdish alternative?

Ontabee is $49/month for one restaurant and $99/month flat for 2–9 locations, with the transaction cost being whatever your own payment gateway charges, since payments settle to your own merchant account. There is also a free plan at $0. Flipdish sells a broader suite including kiosks and hardware, so the two are not like-for-like above the ordering layer.

Is Flipdish good for multi-site restaurants?

It is built for it, with kiosks, hardware and field support that suit larger multi-site and franchise operations. If you need self-service kiosks in your restaurants, Flipdish sells that and Ontabee does not. If you need online and in-app ordering without hardware, you are buying capability you will not use.
