Commission calculator
What are the delivery apps actually costing you?
Put in roughly what you do through the marketplaces and see the yearly figure. Card processing on direct orders is deducted, so this is what you'd genuinely keep — not a number with the awkward part left out.

Move just 8 orders a month off the marketplaces and the plan has paid for itself.
Commission tiers are the platforms' own published rates, checked 2026-08-04. DoorDash: 15% / 25% / 30% by partnership plan, 6% pickup. Uber Eats: 20% / 25% / 30%, 7% pickup. Grubhub starts lower and adds advertising and service fees. See Rezku's 2026 fee breakdown and Food On Demand's comparison. Your own contract is the authority — check it.
Reading the number
Three things this calculator won't pretend
You won't move every order
The apps do bring customers who genuinely had not heard of you. The realistic win is your regulars — people who already know your name and are ordering through an app out of habit. Try the calculator with half your volume and see whether it still works.
Direct orders still cost something
Card processing does not disappear when you leave a marketplace. It is a line in the breakdown above, deducted before the saving. Commission-free means no percentage to the platform — it was never a claim that payments are free.
At low volume, staying put can win
If the numbers say switching costs you money, the calculator says so. A flat plan beats commission above a certain volume and loses below it. That crossover is the break-even figure, and it is worth knowing before anyone sells you anything.
What you'd be moving to
The same order, without the percentage
Your own ordering page on your own domain, your customers' details in your own account, and payments settling straight to your own gateway. No commission on any order, on any plan — including the free one.
Questions
Commonly asked
How much commission do delivery apps charge restaurants?
DoorDash publishes three partnership tiers at 15%, 25% and 30% of the order, with pickup orders at 6%. Uber Eats publishes 20% (Lite), 25% (Plus) and 30% (Premium), with pickup at 7%. Grubhub starts lower but stacks advertising and service fees on top. Industry reporting puts the effective cost, once promotions and paid placement are counted, higher than the headline tier.
Does this calculator account for card processing?
Yes. Orders you take on your own site still carry card processing, so that is deducted before any saving is shown. The default is a common published rate and you can change it to your processor’s. A calculator that ignores it overstates the saving on every order.
Is commission-free ordering always cheaper?
No, and this calculator will tell you when it is not. At low order volume a flat monthly plan can cost more than the commission it replaces. The break-even line shows how many orders a month you need to move before the plan pays for itself.
Should I leave the delivery apps entirely?
Most restaurants should not. The apps bring genuine discovery from customers who would not otherwise find you. The saving comes from moving your repeat customers — the ones who already know your name and are only using an app out of habit — onto your own ordering page.
Keep the difference.
Standing up your own ordering page takes about a minute, and the free plan doesn't ask for a card.
