What you'll need, gateway by gateway
Ontabee connects to your own payment account — money settles straight to you and we never hold your funds or take a cut. Gather these before step 3 and payments take minutes; the console shows the exact webhook URL to paste on the gateway's side, and every new setup is verified with a test-mode payment before you go live.
Stripe — Global — cards, wallets, iDEAL/Bancontact and more
Easiest path: click Connect with Stripe on the console's Payments page — Stripe-hosted onboarding, nothing to paste. Prefer your own keys? From Dashboard → Developers collect your secret key, publishable key, and create a webhook (the console shows you the exact URL) to get its signing secret.
Razorpay — India — UPI, cards, netbanking
From Dashboard → Account & Settings → API keys collect your key id and key secret. Then create a webhook (URL from the console) for payment.captured and payment.failed and note its webhook secret.
Mercado Pago — Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia — Pix, boleto, cards
Easiest path: click Connect Mercado Pago on the console's Payments page and sign in — we take care of the tokens. Manual setup instead: your access token from the Mercado Pago developers panel plus the application's webhook secret.
Xendit — Indonesia & Philippines — QRIS, GCash, Maya, e-wallets, VAs
From Dashboard → Settings → Developers collect your secret key (starts xnd_) and the callback verification token, and register the console's webhook URL under Callbacks.
Telr — UAE & GCC — hosted payment page
You'll need your store id and authkey, plus a webhook token (any strong random string — the console generates one) registered with your callback URL in the Telr dashboard. For refunds, ask Telr support to enable the remote API and add that remote authkey too.
Tap Payments — GCC — KNET, mada, Benefit, cards
Just your secret key (starts sk_) — plus paste the console's webhook URL into the config's post_url field so paid orders confirm in real time.
Moyasar — Saudi Arabia — mada, Apple Pay, cards
Your secret key (starts sk_) and the webhook secret token you set when registering the console's URL under Dashboard → Webhooks.
Midtrans — Indonesia — GoPay, bank transfer, cards
Your server key from the Midtrans dashboard, and set the console's URL as the Payment Notification URL there. Start with a sandbox key, then switch to a fresh production config for launch.
PayMongo — Philippines — GCash, Maya, cards
Your secret key (starts sk_) and a webhook secret (starts whsk_) from creating a webhook subscribed to checkout_session.payment.paid and refund.updated.
Omise / Opn — Thailand — PromptPay, cards
Your secret key (starts skey_) and the webhook secret from registering the console's URL under Dashboard → Webhooks.
PayU — Poland & Romania — BLIK, bank transfer, cards
Four values from your PayU panel: POS id, OAuth client id, client secret, and the second key (MD5). Set the shop's notification URL to the console's webhook URL and choose SHA-256 signing.
My gateway isn't listed
Tell us which one at contact — the gateway layer is built to add providers quickly, and cash on collection keeps you taking orders meanwhile.
Before you start
How long until I can take my first order?
Most single-location restaurants go from signup to a live ordering page the same day. Cash-on-collection orders work as soon as your menu is up; online payments as soon as your gateway is connected.
Do I need my own website?
No. Your Ontabee address is a full ordering site — menu, gallery, contact, table bookings. If you do have a website, add ordering to it with one embed line or a link.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes — connect a custom domain from the console's Settings page; we handle the certificate.
Is the free plan really free?
Yes: one location, full online ordering, forever, with a small "powered by Ontabee" mark. Paid plans remove the mark and add multi-location tools — see pricing.
